Take Action

Thousands of emails have been sent to companies so far, asking them to change their accessible toilet signs to our Not Every Disability is Visible signage. Help us make these signs more visible.

  • Make national pub and restaurant chains change their accessible toilet signs – Join our national email campaign targeting restaurant and pub chains.
  • Encourage your local high street to adopt our signage – Call on your local independent companies to change their accessible toilet sign using the materials in our campaign supporter pack, available to download here.
  • Tell your story online if you are faced with stigma – If you, or someone close to you, have been challenged when trying to use an accessible toilet, join us in highlighting that this is unacceptable, and share your story on social media using #NotEveryDisabilityIsVisible and tagging @CrohnsColitisUK.
  • It Takes Guts to talk about Crohn's or Colitis - Explain to others that you have an invisible condition which means you need quick access to the toilet; help the public understand the severity of the conditions and how they impact almost every aspect of people’s lives.
  • Make a single or regular donation – Click here to make a difference to the thousands of people who benefit from our information, support, research and campaigning.
  • Change your accessible toilet sign – A major anxiety for people living with Crohn’s or Colitis is being refused toilet access or being confronted about why they are using an accessible facility. With this simple step, your company can make a huge difference to people with invisible conditions: download our campaign materials.
  • Train your staff – To help you make this change, we will provide you with a partnership package which includes guidance and information to train staff within your company, so they can support customers with invisible conditions.
  • Show your support – Spread the word about our campaign by sharing our content on your company’s social media channels.

By supporting us, you can make a real difference to people's lives. For more information on supporting the campaign, request your partnership package by emailing us.
